About me
Born to two chiropractors, I was raised in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, the world capital of alpinism in the French Alps.
There, I grew up surrounded by many athletes and practiced various sports from a very young age, such as skiing, snowboarding, ice hockey, climbing, and paragliding.
Curious about the world and other cultures, I studied cultural anthropology for four years, followed by six years of chiropractic studies near Paris at the French-European Institute of Chiropractic (IFEC).
I graduated in 2010 and worked in a multidisciplinary clinic (IRV) in Italy for one and a half years, where I was responsible for the spinal manipulations department, collaborating with medical doctors and physiotherapists.
When offered a position in Ho Chi Minh City in 2011, I decided to move to Vietnam, partly influenced by a Jim Carrey movie called "Yes Man," where the main protagonist commits to saying "yes" to everything life throws at him. And it was the best decision of my life.
I was warmly welcomed at ACC, the American Chiropractic Clinic, which was the first chiropractic clinic in Vietnam, founded by chiropractor, writer, and adventurer Wade Brackenbury. Following in his footsteps, I had the honor of becoming the second chiropractor to obtain a medical license in Vietnam.
What I thought would be a two-year experience in Asia ended up being a life-changing opportunity. Surrounded by a skilled and lovely staff, treating interesting cases and rare conditions that chiropractors don't often see in Europe, and rewarded by my patients' gratitude and recognition, I thrived in this country and claimed it as my adoptive land.
But the call for adventure wasn't muted yet. In 2017, I embarked on a long bicycle trip, a ten-month journey from Ho Chi Minh City to France, another experience for which I will forever be grateful.
Shortly after that, I helped open a chiropractic clinic in Portugal, Seaquiropratica, and enjoyed the slow-paced life and nature of the coastal city of Almancil. However, Vietnam was still on my mind, and I missed it.
So, when ACC decided to open a new branch in Danang and asked me to be the chiropractor there, I jumped on the plane, and we opened the Danang ACC clinic in September 2019.
We had a bumpy start with the COVID-19 epidemic hitting the world in early 2020. Danang, being a tourist destination, had its economy severely impacted, with some repercussions still felt today. However, the team at ACC kept a good morale all along and built the reputation of our services in that beautiful city for four years.
In the meantime, the ACC company, strong with four branches in Vietnam, was sold to FV (French-Vietnamese) Hospital, the first international hospital in the country, shortly followed by the acquisition of the whole FV group by Thomson Medical.
The company I knew and which started as a family business was no more. From working for Wade, a man I admire and consider a mentor and friend, I was working for a board of investors and couldn't even name the owners of the clinic.
In 2024, Thomson Medical decided to restructure all the services and relocate the ACC Danang branch to Ho Chi Minh City. I had three months to react.
My life, built in Danang during four years, my patients, my staff... I knew I couldn't handle recreating the huge investment that preceded the opening of ACC Danang. Nevertheless, I decided I would stay in Danang and do my best to keep up the quality of services for those who trusted me over the years.
On March 16th 2024, I announced the creation of my own practice, Danang Chiropractic. The initials, DC, are a reference to the title of Doctors of Chiropractic in the USA and other countries.
